The Carbonado is built exclusively for a 1x, or single chainring system. The lean downtube allows clean air to flow undisturbed for an optimal aerodynamic profile.
1x is ideal for triathlon, it’s a simple and efficient system. The gearing provided lets you dial in the perfect big gear to drop the hammer on flats and rollers while maintaining wide low gear range for when the road turns steep.
Beam Me Up
A sought-after characteristic of a bicycle frame is its ability to absorb vibrations and impacts that are caused by the road surface. Over time, these relatively small impulses fatigue a rider’s body. During an Ironman race, reducing body stress is key, and a bike that delivers you to T2 fresh and ready to run well is invaluable. Dimond’s cantilevered beam frame eliminates the road-to-body impulse expressway (seat tube) , floats the rider’s body and dissipates road noise.
