Our Carbonado – the Black Dimond – is hard and tough. In nature, a Carbonado contains multiple crystals and is more robust than a stone of monocrystalline structure, therefore it is a common element of rugged cutting tools. Like you, it is durable and has strength greater than the sum of its parts. Always the right tool for the job, the Carbonado will outperform and outlast the competition.

Explore the Carbonado

Designed for efficiency and speed over any race distance, the Carbonado offers an incredible value to triathletes looking to reach T2 faster. Guided by scrupulous wind tunnel testing, the frame design and component choices were made to to give every aerodynamic advantage possible. The result is a performance optimized race machine – fast, lean, and always ready to race toward a new PR.

The Carbonado is built exclusively for a 1x, or single chainring system. The lean downtube allows clean air to flow undisturbed for an optimal aerodynamic profile.

1x is ideal for triathlon, it’s a simple and efficient system. The gearing provided lets you dial in the perfect big gear to drop the hammer on flats and rollers while maintaining wide low gear range for when the road turns steep.

Beam Me Up

A sought-after characteristic of a bicycle frame is its ability to absorb vibrations and impacts that are caused by the road surface. Over time, these relatively small impulses fatigue a rider’s body. During an Ironman race, reducing body stress is key, and a bike that delivers you to T2 fresh and ready to run well is invaluable. Dimond’s cantilevered beam frame eliminates the road-to-body impulse expressway (seat tube) , floats the rider’s body and dissipates road noise. Dimond athletes claim a noticeable increase in comfort, spend more time in the aero position, feel fresher out of T2, and recover faster than before thanks to the frame working tirelessly to support them.

Flying Forward

Dimond’s unique shape eliminates three leading edges found on “traditional” frames. Try as they might to create to make a fast shaped seat tube, it’s fastest just to get it out of the way.

Our engineering team has spent countless hours in R&D and testing to create the fastest bicycle possible. Using advanced modeling techniques and data-driven development with extensive use of wind tunnel drag analysis, our experts have created a frame that bests the competition in all riding conditions with race day performances to validate the lab results.

1 review for Carbonado

  1. Luke Anderson

The Carbonado is a brilliant solution to the armature triathlete trying to get an edge on a limited budget. I appreciate the simple design allowing for maintenance and bike assembly for travel to be completed by myself. This radical frame design still allows for standard and interchangeable components. This is a rarity in the world of super bikes today. The build quality is excellent. Dimond is meticulous in all their work. The Carbonado shows it has been given no less attention by the Dimond engineers. The 1x setup is simple, aero and reliable. The ride quality is excellent. The Carbonado screams to go fast. It demands and greatly rewards the rider to put the power down. I have raced in triathlons for 20 years. The Carbonado is the fastest, most responsive, efficient and comfortable bike I have ever ridden. It responds like a normal TT bike, yet it has just enough compliance in the saddle to truly take the edge off. I have ridden so many bikes that claim to have compliant seat stays. The Carbonado is the only bike I have ridden that truly removes the road noise. Not only can I through down a fast bike split, I can run faster off a Carbonado because of the added comfort. I cannot recommend the Carbonado enough for anyone looking to dip their toes into the world of super bikes.
