Dimond Training Camp 2017

By February 20, 2017 No Comments

What happens when you combine three professional triathletes with too many podium finishes to count, the hills and scenery of Tucson, Arizona and a bunch of Dimond Clubbers ramping up for the 2017 season?

One bad ass spring training camp.

Our inaugural triathlon camp will be held Sunday, March 26th through Thursday, March 30th. Four days of, you guessed it, swimming, biking and running. More importantly, you’ll have access to the knowledge and expertise of three world renowned Ironman competitors.

TJ Tollakson, our fearless leader at Dimond Bikes and Professional Triathlete will host. He is accompanied by Hillary Biscay, Ultraman World Champion, Ironman Champion, and co-founder of Smashfest Queen. Last but not least, Maik Twelsiek, 3x Ironman Champion (he also snatched the fastest bike split aboard his Dimond in Kona 2015!) and husband of Hillary. The combined experience of these three is worth more than its weight in gold.

This camp is geared toward intermediate to advanced level athletes. Pace groups will be formed to make sure everyone is challenged and accommodated. (Don’t worry, we won’t leave you in the dust. The Dimond Van will provide SAG support!) No matter what your 2017 season holds, there is a reason to attend! Jump start your training, challenge yourself or reinvigorate your spirit in the midst of other inspired triathletes and pros.

In addition to rides such as the famed Mt. Lemmon climb and runs in the arid Tucson desert, you will experience valuable classroom and face-to-face time with our three leaders. TJ, Hillary and Maik all have their triathlon specialties, and we have formed “classroom” talks based on each of these. Learn about proper nutrition during training and racing, proper swim technique and more. These talks are early in the morning, and then you get a chance to put them into practice during training time!

Let’s get to the down and dirty. The cost is $950 ($850 for current Dimond owners). A block of rooms is reserved at the DoubleTree Reid Park. Of course, you can stay elsewhere, but this is where all the fun will be based!

Place your $200 deposit now to hold your spot. The balance will be due by March 15th.

Demo bikes will be available, so if you are looking to try out one of these gems, you might as well spend some time inside the Club to get the full experience!

Here’s the full schedule.

Happy training!
