Koi

In the early 2000s a large and unique diamond gemstone was discovered in the Republic of Congo. Weighing well over 60 carats this humongous chunk of diamond filled with inclusions and color variations was slated for industrial use when a young diamond gemstone cutter saw something special and changed the fate of the diamond forever. This young gemologist had a vision of turning the diamond into the Koi Diamond. He cut the diamond in a pear shape, showing striations of white and orange with speckles of yellow and black. What is now a world famous 32 carat diamond gemstone symbolizing strength and perseverance was almost never created. 

In the quest to design the ultimate road bike the engineers and designers at Dimond created a few prototypes using their proprietary molding process. Most of these prototypes are then incorporated into the final design of a product. One particular prototype made it all the way to wind tunnel testing before eventually becoming what is now the Radiant. Another top performing prototype was recognized as being brilliant in its own right by a young Dimond engineer who was inspired by the story of the Koi gemstone.

This young engineer at Dimond presented a similar idea to save the prototype frame and refine it into a lower cost frameset. Fully integrated barstem

Cabling is as clean as it gets with the Red Crown Raven one-piece barstem and integrated headset. Internal cable routing channels and a slick headset and spacer system make shifting and brake lines disappear for an ultra clean look. 35mm of spacers are available in 5mm increments for stack height adjustment above the headtube. The all carbon barstem can be painted to match your frame and is available in multiple sizes.

Flush Mount Shimano Di2 port

Shimano electronic groupset users will enjoy easy access to the Di2 charging port in its convenient location on the frame’s downtube. It is situated perfectly to be concealed and protected while riding, yet immediately accessible for battery charging between rides. Alternative covers are available for builds using other groupsets.
