Saying that Nicole Valentine is one tough chick just doesn’t quite give this female pro the justice she deserves. Case in point, her proudest triathlon moment. While defending her Outrigger Double Award Title in 2015 (fastest combined time at Ironman Kona World Championship and Xterra World Championship), she crashed partway through the mountain bike course and broke her collarbone. Through gritted teeth, she got back on and finished the race in 3rd! She says standing on the podium in an arm sling is a moment she’ll never forget.
Nicole has made huge strides in the Ironman world, first as an age group success and now as a professional. Her goals for 2017 are to land on the podium in 70.3 and full Ironman events. She’s tailored her schedule to cruise to victory, and do it in style on her Dimond! Nicole is also part of the Smash-Dimond women’s team and is known for her humble mentality as a team player. When Nicole finds a few seconds, she can be found adventuring on the trails of Boulder, CO by foot or mountain bike.
